Artist

Emad Tamo, born in Iraq in 1970, discovered his love for art at an early age. As a child, he devoted much of his time to drawing and painting, nurturing a talent that would define his life. Over the years, his caricature drawings were featured in prominent newspapers and magazines, earning him recognition for his creativity and unique perspective. Driven by passion, Emad dedicated his life to art — both as a creator and as a teacher. He spent many years inspiring students through his instruction, passing on his skills and encouraging the next generation of artists to follow their own creative paths.

In 2013, Emad relocated to the United States, where visits to museums and galleries reignited his inspiration. Immersing himself in the works of great masters, he expanded his knowledge and refined his skills, further enriching his artistic journey. His first major project in the U.S. was a 26-foot-wide mural at Heller Elementary School Library — a vibrant contribution that reflects his commitment to community and education. Since then, Emad has participated in numerous exhibitions and gallery shows. His work continues to evolve, blending traditional techniques with his own expressive style.

Today, Emad remains as passionate as ever, constantly developing his craft and sharing his vision. Through his paintings, drawings, and teachings, he continues to inspire audiences and affirm his lifelong dedication to the arts.
